Project title

Introduction
Our research focuses on patients presenting with chest pain in primary care where acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a possible cause. Most of these patients are immediately referred to a cardiologist, whereas only a minority eventually have ACS. We are studying the possible value of clinical signs and symptoms and point of care H-FABP testing (combined in a clinical decision rule) to rule out ACS. Such decision rule could possibly reduce the number of referred patients that have no ACS.
